A Kenyan woman living in the US has died in mysterious circumstances after being missing for some days.
Margaret Mugure Okumu was found dead in her bathroom by neighbors who had suspected something was wrong after they failed to see her for days.
According to her neighbors Okumu could have died between May 22 and June 1, the days neighbors had last seen her.

The deceased had been living in the US state of New Jersey since moving there in 2002.
According to Mwakilishi.com, Okumu gave birth to a daughter in 2008 but the child died when she visited Kenya in 2009.
Okumu is said to have been affected by the loss of her child when she returned back to the US.
The deceased has another child a son who stays in Kenya with her family.
Okumu after returning back to the US was faced with more heartbreaks with her father dying suddenly in 2012.
In 2014 more pain was to face Okumu as she lost her job which was supporting her family in Kenya.
Okumu joined a local church in New Jersey to seek comfort but depression and the pain of losing her loved ones took a tool on her.
The Kenyan community living the US have planned to raise funds to transport her body to her family in Kenya.
The Kenyan community in New Jersey will hold a fundraising event scheduled for June 10, 2016 at Christ For All Nations 218 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Jersey City, NJ starting 6 -10pm. Parking is available through back entrance of church; 173 Bayview Ave.

In April 22, 2016, in Austell, Georgia, a decomposing body of a Kenyan woman was discovered in a house.
The woman identified as Anne Wairimu Maina, had not reported for work for four consecutive days, which led to her colleagues to raise the alarm.
