Four Members of Parliament (MPs) from Nyanza have been attacked in what seems to be political intolerance in the area.
The MPs are Jakoyo Midiwo (Gem), Nicholas Gumbo (Rarieda), Aduma Owuor (Nyakach) and James Rege of Karachuonyo.
The attacks which occurred over the weekend are all linked to political decisions made by the politicians.
Rowdy youth from Karachuonyo county threatened to burn down Rege’s home after the MP defected from ODM to Jubilee Party.
His Karachuonyo home is now under 24-hour police protection following the threats according to county police boss John Omusanga.

MP Aduma Owuor’s vehicle and a store were torched down in Kisumu on Saturday night, September 14. The MP said the attack was politically instigated calling for thorough investigations.
Jakoyo Midiwo and Nicholas Gumbo were also accosted by rowdy youth who barricaded a road the two were using heading to a rally in Siaya county.
The attack comes days after Midiwo accused Siaya governor Cornel Rasanga of pocketing KSh70 million in the Yala Swamp deal.
Midiwo was also accompanied by Rasanga’s main competitor in the 2017 elections William Oduol.
