CORD leader Raila Odinga was on Friday morning attacked in Mumias by a group of youth supporting area Member of Parliament who is a Jubilee member.

News reaching us indicate that the supporters of Mumias East MP Benjamin Washiali smashed the windscreen of the that was carrying Raila and Kakamega Governor Wyclife Oparanya.

The charging youth were reportedly blocking Raila from addressing a meeting in the area.

The Opposition leader was forced to flee the area after the chaos erupted.

Raila started his western tour a day after President Uhuru Kenyatta presided over the first graduation ceremony at Kibabii University in Bungoma county.

Later on Friday the Opposition chief would lead an ODM Western Delegates’ Convention at Golf Hotel in Kakamega.
