THE AFTERMATH: IEBC CHAIRMAN WAFULA CHEBUKATI NEIGHBOUR’S PROPERTY WORTH MILLIONS BURNT DOWN AFTER ANNOUNCING PRESIDENTIAL RESULTS

CHEBUHSEIEBC Chairman, Wafula Chebukati’s neighbour had his vehicles set on fire on Friday night by rowdy youth who took to the streets after Uhuru Kenyatta was declared President.

The incident took place in Saboti farm, Trans Nzoia county.

The Chairman’s house that is said to be close by was not damaged. However, it appears the unknown citizens might have been targeting the IEBC Chairman’s property in retaliation.

Several vehicles including five (5) tracks, a saloon car, tractor and maizestore also belonging to Independent Electoral and Boundaries Chairman (IEBC) Wafula Chebukati’s neighbour were also set on fire during the disturbance.

The vehicles are said to have been burnt down at the same time the house was burning to the dismay of the public.

There have been reports of violent demonstrations across the country with youths engaging the police officers in running battles.

Police have been accused of using excessive force in Kisumu, Mathare and Kibera areas. Live bullets have been recovered but the CS Interior Security Mr. Matiang’i has denied the claims of officers using the live ammunition.
